Just Decide with Steve McElmurry

This week's guest is Steve McElmurry, the founder of MacsImpact, LLC. 

Steve's resume resembles a sampler platter rather than a main course, and his career path looks more like a toddler's crayon drawing than an engineer's precise blueprint. Through necessity, Steve has developed exceptional agility in pivoting, navigating career transitions, and rapidly acquiring and applying new skills.

For many years, Steve viewed his broad experience as a liability. However, he eventually recognized that his ability to authentically and quickly connect with a diverse range of people in various contexts is a significant asset, shaped by how he responded to the series of successes and failures that make up his "history." This ability to "Fail Forward" has become one of his greatest strengths.

Now, as a board-certified nurse coach and a member of the Maxwell Leadership Team, Steve supports individuals and organizational teams in bridging many of the growth gaps he has personally navigated. His process begins with deep listening and includes humor, stories, analogies, metaphors, and various interactive and engaging tools. These approaches help people play to each other’s strengths and allow each team member to thrive in their "zones of genius."
